About Phillip

Phillip Jauregui is Senior Counsel in the firm and has practiced law for thirty (30) years serving in governmental work and ministry roles while also providing legal counsel to clients in these spaces. He loves to serve as an external general counsel to personally guide clients through every governmental, policy, corporate and transactional matter.

Phillip spends substantial time in Washington, D.C. working for two incredible ministries that focus on “judicial renewal,” which is best explained as helping the U.S. Judicial Branch return to its proper role of simply deciding cases, rather than legislating from the bench. Phillip is President of Judicial Action Group, and Senior Counsel at American Family Association Action’s Center for Judicial Renewal. These organizations focus heavily on reviewing, researching, and advocating to place only the best judges and justices in our federal courts. He has worked on hundreds of judicial nominations over the last twenty (20) years, including 8 of the 9 current United States Supreme Court Justices.

His experience in Washington and as a leader in local and national ministry circles helps him provide tailored advice to our clients to achieve their Kingdom goals. When asked what type of law he practices, Phillip, likes to describe it as “Kingdom law,” because he thrives in helping his brothers and sisters in Christ serve the Father in their unique Kingdom calling.

He has served as a Trustee for Church of the Highlands in Alabama and Georgia since the church’s founding in 2001. He has a special love for Great Commission teams and serves on the boards of two works that make disciples of the Basque people in Spain and France. In Washington, D.C., he takes great joy in serving on the Board of Directors of the Justice House of Prayer, which is a national prayer ministry that prayed on-site at the Supreme Court – and helped achieve – the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Outside of practicing law, Phillip is the thankful husband of Jennifer Piper Jauregui. Their marriage of over thirty (30) years is blessed with two adult sons: Phillip III and Samuel. Phillip and Jennifer regularly attend Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama. When not keeping up with government news or watching great movies, Phillip can be found riding his mountain bike on the trails in Birmingham or sharing the love of Christ with fellow pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route in France and Spain.
